DEPOK (27\/10\/2020)<\/strong> The Master Program in Population and Labor Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (MEKK FEB UI) in a Demographic Business Public Lecture, with FEB UI Prof. Dr. Aris Ananta, Ph.D., discussing the “Indonesian Development Forum” on Tuesday (27\/10\/2020). The event was opened by Dr. Dwini Handayani, Head of the MEKK FEB UI Study Program, while presented Dr. (HC) Hermawan Kartajaya, S.E., M.B.A., Founder and Chair of MarkPlus, Inc., as a speaker.<\/p>\n

Hermawan Kartajaya said that in 2030, Indonesia is expected to experience a demographic bonus year. To take advantage of the situation, we must equip human resources with new skills that allow them to work optimally with technology.<\/p>\n

Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, we must shape resilient human resources who survive, prepare, and actualize for the following years. It is too little for business players to be creative, but they need to have innovative thinking and have a spirit of entrepreneurship and leadership.<\/p>\n

According to Hermawan, the CIEL<\/strong> concept, namely Creativity<\/strong> (divergent and convergent), Innovation<\/strong> (desirable, feasible, viable), Entrepreneurship<\/strong> (opportunity, risk, network), and Leadership<\/strong> (customer management, product management, brand) is one of the breakthroughs that can make businesses rise from difficult times, as a complement to the PIPM (Productivity, Improvement, Professional, and Management) concept. This means that business players are not only productive but also creative, as well as developing and improving while producing innovations altogether. Then, professionalism must be accompanied by entrepreneurship. In this way, human resources are ready for various challenges. Management skills must also be accompanied by leadership abilities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the marketing 5.0 concept requires human resources to use technology that still pays close attention to humanity, and is also aimed at humans themselves. Because neither machine nor technology will function without human intervention. This is the concept that Hermawan hopes for when entrepreneurs start to adopt a lot of innovations and technology in various daily activities and programs. In addition, we must adapt to the current marketing era, in the form of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, sensor technology, robotics, augmented reality and virtual reality, IoT and blockchain.<\/p>\n

In it there must be 4 balances, namely marketing, finance, technology, and humanity. “In its fourth operation for Indonesia in 2030, there must be a balance between humans and technology. From this point, I\u2019m seeking to collaborate with the FEB UI Demographic Institute in preparing superior human resources who are technology literate and thus, globally competitive. Apart from that, marketing and finance must also run well and balance, in order to produce something useful,\u201d said Hermawan closing the session. (hjtp)<\/p>\n
