DEPOK – (17\/11\/2020)<\/b> The government provided State Capital Participation (PMN) to several State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) in the context of handling the Covid-19 pandemic. For these funds to be effective, better handling and supervision are\u00a0 needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Lack of performance means there is something wrong with\u00a0 the supervision. Is there an internal supervision mechanism within the SOE or whether the authorized institution has conducted proper assessment?” asked SOE Observer Toto Pranoto who was a resource person in the IDX Channel Market Review, on Tuesday (17\/11\/2020).<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, he added, another factor that caused the poor performance of SOE was the insufficient funds. As a result, what was planned did not go well.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There are also several cases where government\u2019 aid is not in accordance with the SOE management plan, causing the plans to be hampered,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a side note , the Government has allocated Rp. 37.38 trillion which will be distributed to a number of SOEs. This capital injection is expected to encourage economic recovery. (hjtp)<\/span><\/p>\n
