The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI) and the T20 Task Force 5 (TF5) team, in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), are hosting a culminative Side Event, which acts as the final and concluding forum of a series of discussions led by the T20’s Task Force 5, on solutions and policy recommendations to the challenges G20 nations are facing with regard to poverty, inequality, human capital and wellbeing.

Michelle advises OPHI on policy relating to multidimensional poverty indices (MPIs). Muschett is a social policy and global development specialist with local and international experience in public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors. In the public sphere, she held the position of Viceminister and Minister of Social Development of Panama, and Technical Coordinator of the Social Cabinet. As part of her duties, she led the process of developing the first national Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) in Panama; the creation of the first Childhood MPI in the Latin American region, and the implementation of the SDGs at the national level. She also presided over the National Concertation Council for Development, a legally established space for dialogue and social consensus with the participation of 23 sectors of society.

Currently, Michelle is a faculty member of the School of Government of ADEN University, where she teaches Human and Social Development as part of the Master of Public Policy Management, and she is Director at The Fourth Sector Group, a global multi-stakeholder platform aimed at accelerating the development of a supportive ecosystem for purpose-driven enterprises. She has extensive experience in Commercial Law and Arbitration, and management of cultural projects and assets. Michelle is Fellow of the VIII class of the Central America Leadership Initiative, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
