The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI) and the T20 Task Force 5 (TF5) team, in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), are hosting a culminative Side Event, which acts as the final and concluding forum of a series of discussions led by the T20’s Task Force 5, on solutions and policy recommendations to the challenges G20 nations are facing with regard to poverty, inequality, human capital and wellbeing.
Ms. Sanyukta Samaddar is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), with over two decades of experience across development administration, policy making, planning, and financial management. She presently leads the SDG efforts of Government of India, in the capacity of Nodal (SDGs), NITI Aayog, where she has led the development of the SDG India Index, SDG localisation efforts with the sub-national governments including monitoring systems and capacity building, the development of the National Multidimensional Poverty Index, and business sector engagement on SDGs among others.
Ms. Samaddar also functions as India’s Focal Point for the country’s Voluntary National Review on the 2030 Agenda and has presented India’s VNR in UN Headquarters in New York in 2020, with regular participation since 2019, and the recent one in HLPF, 2022. She has been representing NITI Aayog and the Government of India in the UNESCAP SDG Forums since 2018, in the G20 Forum since 2019. She has been in senior leadership positions across sectors of industry, multilateral and bilateral negotiations, rural development, and several departments of the Indian State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
