On Wednesday, November 8th 2017, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia facilitated a public lecture by Dr. Jan Podivinsky about Debt, Growth, and Financial Crisist in 21st Century Economics. Dr. Jan Povdivinsky is a Head of Economics Department in Southampton University, he explained about economic growth in 21st century, and also about how debt affects financial crisis that happed in 1998 and a decade later.
After the public lecture was finished, Dr. Jan Podivisky, Mr. Mark Cranshaw (Representative from Southampton University), Bapak Isfandiary Djafaar (Director of International Undergraduate Program FEBUI), Ibu Muthia Pramesti (head of International Offce FEB UI), and Ratna Ningtyastuti (Staff of International Office FEB UI) had a lunch together and discussed about current regional economic issues and taxation in various parts of the world, also about the collaboration between Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia and Southampton Business School that may happen in the near future.
