On 30th January 2018, the Public Lecture started with a opening speech by Bapak Muhammad Halley Yudhistira, Ph.D as the Moderator. After that, the Speaker, Prof. Xu Yuan, deliver the lecture.
He started by explaining the three puzzle of renewable energy in China. The 1st puzzle is about the Kyoto Protocol 2010 and Paris Climate Agreement 2017. The 2nd puzzle is about renewable energy development. The last puzzle is about renewable energy industry development.
One of the challenge for China is that they have a the largest number of wind turbine, yet, they can not produce the largest amount of electricity. China is behind the US. The problem is mainly because the technology and the posisitioning of the wind turbine in a geographical location for potential of wind resources.
The public lecture ends with Question and Answer session. It is expected that this public lecture could give valuable insight to the audience.
