Aviation Management Program Signing Ceremony with Coventry University

22nd of March 2019 was a special day for us because Coventry University from UK and FEB UI just had ceremonial signing for Joint MM-MBA program in Aviation Management FEB UI.
The event was held during morning tea reception at The British Ambassadorās Residence in Kuningan Jakarta. UK Ambassador for Indonesia and Timor Leste, Moazzam Malik warmly greeted all of the guests on his welcoming remarks.
āAviation Industry is a critical industry for the future. Itās not only about the engineering and technical skills but this is also about aviation management.ā he said, emphasizing the importance of aviation management. He also highlighted that education as the key to unlock the potential in Indonesia. The partnership between Indonesia & United Kingdom is one way to enhance the education, not only sending Indonesian to United Kingdom, but also promoting Indonesia to young British by sending them here.
The agreement signing between Universitas Indonesia and Coventry University was done by Mr. Ari Kuncoro, Ph.D and Jennifer Fernando (Associate Head of School & Associate Head of Department Aviation). Besides the UK Ambassador, some people also came to witness this historic moment, they were:

After the session was continued by panel discussion between Jenni Fernando and Rofikoh Rokhim, S.E., S.I.P., D.E.A. Ph.D moderated by Kleopas Danang, alumnus from Coventry University in Air Transport Management Postgraduate Program. Jenni explained several facts about Aviation Program in Coventry University. It is one of the leading providers of undergraduate and postgraduate Aviation and Air Transport Management degree program in the global also previously has supported teaching of other partners such as Emirates Aviation University in Dubai, City University of Hong Kong, School of Continuing & Professional Education and Rushmore Business School.
The panel session explained some information regarding the registration, entrance test, and also the lecture method. The panelists mentioned about aviation program modules, some of them are Air Transport Policy, Regulation & Global Issues, Air Transport Planning & Design, and Air Transport Marketing & Consumer Behavior, showing that aviation management has broad discussion. The course materials will be delivered by both academicians and practitioners so that the students will have knowledge based on theory and its application. This joint program will give the student chance to get double degree in the same time, MM and MBA after completing two year study.
Hopefully, with the launch of this joint program by Universitas Indonesia and Coventry University will develop the aviation science, quality of aviation industry in this country and finally could help to āunlockā Indonesiaās potential in the future.
