Academic Visit: FEB UI and University of Southampton

On June 16th, 2019. Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI) met University of Southampton, United Kingdom. The Associate Dean of Academic Affair FEB UI, Dr. Beta Yulianita Githarie welcomed Prof. Jane Falkingham who is the Dean of Social, Human, and Mathematical Sciences University of Southampton. The meeting was also attended by Chaikal Nuryakin, Ph.D. (Representative of Economics Department FEB UI), Yulianti Abbas, M.E., Ph.D (Representative of Accounting Department FEB UI). Ms. Ida Ayu Agung Faradynawati (Representative of Management Department FEB UI), Mr. Isfandiary Djafaar, S.E., M.Soc.Sc.(Head of International Programme FEB UI), Mr. Turro Selrits Wongkaren, Ph.D. (Head of Lembaga Demografi FEB UI), Dr. Evy Nurvidya Arifin (Faculty Member FEB UI), Mrs. Sari Wahyuni, Ph.D (Faculty Member FEB UI), and Mrs. Muthia Pramesti, M.M., CFP (Head of International Office FEB UI). The delegates from University of Southampton are Prof. Sabu S Padmadas (Professor of Demoghraphy and Global Health), Prof. Martin Dyke (Professorial Fellow and Head of Southampton Educational School), Prof. Nikos Tzavidis (Professorof Statistical Methodology), Dr. Fatimah Zainudin (Lecturer in Financial Accounting), and Ms. Song Pan Utz (Senior Manager of Faculty International Office).
The meeting was purposed to discussed the agreement of Study Abroad programme between both universities. The programme is comprised of various optional components which are one semester of academic study and one full year of academic study.
It was also discussed the next agenda for finalizing of the joint degee program and the expansion of research among faculty members.
