Jakarta, Indonesia – Prof. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro, The Minister of Finance will be a keynote speaker at the 1st annual “LPEM’S Conference on Economics and Finance in Indonesia”. LPEM will address this year’s theme ”Economic Reform” along with other nationally recognized speakers including Darmin Nasution, Ph.D. – Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Prof. Iwan Jaya Aziz – Professor University of Indonesia and Cornell University and Professor University of Indonesia, Prof. M. Ikhsan. They are among the more than fifty presenters who will address the Conference.
Registration is now open for the Conference, which will be hosted by Institute for Economics and Social Research Faculty of Economics and Business University of Indonesia (LPEM FEB-UI), on Monday 23 November 2015. The conference is part of LPEM’s Journal Call for Paper event, named “Economics and Finance in Indonesia (EFI) Journal”. EFI has steadily progressed over the last few decades and taken the lead in providing the outlets for the publication of qualified research papers on economics and finance in Indonesia and international. The scope of conference covers all aspects related to economics and finance, both concerning Indonesia as was as international.
LPEM’s Conference on Economics and Finance in Indonesia (CEFI) has opened the registration for Call for Papers on September, 2015. The committee of CEFI has received a lot of abstracts/papers and could only select a few to be presented at the conference, around 60 best papers selected will be presented by scholars from 8 countries including Australia, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore and Uni Arab Emirates.
Indonesian and other presenters will present their papers on a range of topics includeDevelopment economics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, Behavioral Economics, Energy Economics, Political Economics, and more. The Conference bring together international and local researcher, young and senior researchers to discuss wide range of issues on economics.
The Conference will be held in two days 30 November – 1 December 2015. On the first day, 30 November 2015, the conference will be opened by EFI’s Editor-in-Chief, Teguh Dartato Ph.D, and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, Prof.Ari Kuncoro. Continued by the speech about “Indonesian Economic Reform” from Darmin Nasution, Ph.D.– Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Plenary Session from Asian Development Bank with the topics “Regulatory Reform”.After that, there will be 3 parallel sessions call for papers, and the last but not least, Gala Dinner at 18.30 with Prof. Iwan Jaya Aziz, Ph.D as the keynote speakers talking about “Global Economic Imbalance”, and Kiki Verico Ph.D as the moderator. On the second day, 1 December 2015, Prof. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro – the Minister of Finance will bring the topic “Fiscal Overview 2016” on his speech, continued by parallel sessions from presenters and TIFO (Toshiba Foundation), and the conference will be closed by the speech from Professor FEB UI, Prof. Mohammad Ikhsan, Ph.D and the last, two best papers announcement by Asian Development Bank.
