Depok – Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia held a Sharing Session and Executive Meeting related to the international accreditation of the Association for Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in the framework of acceleration that applies AACSB international accreditation with direct speakers from the President and CEO of AACSB, Prof. Thomas R. Robinson, which took place in the MR. Meeting Room. Djokosoetono Dean Building and Auditorium Room International Undergraduate Program FEB UI, on Monday (11/11/19).
As an international standard economic and business university, FEB UI has pocketed international accreditations such as AMBA, ABEST21 and 3 Eduniversal Palmes of Excellence. Improving quality, FEB UI also increased accreditation from the Association for the Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) International based in the United States.
Relating to the three values for maintaining quality that have been applied by FEB UI asking for involvement, innovation and impact. Ari Kuncoro Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UI, Professor and Chosen UI Chancellor 2019-2024 explained the achievements, achievements of alumni and achievements of FEB UI students in the national and international arena as well as the development of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia in obtaining AACSB accreditation.
Tom Robinson PhD, CPA, CFA, as president and chief executive (CEO) of AACSB International (major global accreditation and business school association organizations throughout the world).
In his presentation Tom Robinson explained about the AACSB in improving the quality of international accreditation for business schools supported by the mission of improving the quality of education of business schools throughout the world.
“The value of the AACSB coverage for business schools to improve quality is maintained: a global network of collaboration and transfer (faculty, thought leadership, students),” said Tom Robinson
Tom Robinson also explained the value of the AACSB Accreditation, which is to foster relationships between quality students and faculty and produce high-achieving and high-quality graduates as well as provide connections to the external community regarding commitment to quality and improvement of supported education.
“Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement of the AACSB Accreditation process obtains ISO 90001: 2015 certification approved by Global Recognition, Focusing on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement for the accreditation and certification process every three years,” he said.
“One of the most important changes in the proposed standard in 2020 is agreement with the community in a way that advances us towards our vision of transforming business education for global prosperity. It was written explicitly into 3 parts of the new standard, namely In Strategic Management, In Student Success, In Thinking Leadership, “he added.
“Tom Robinson came to FEB UI to deliver a message to us all. In my opinion, the exhibition is not only for business schools but can also be universally studied in obtaining even higher international education accreditations, “concluded Ari Kuncoro.
