Accounting student of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (UI) class of 2017 named Nadya Gita Anggara made achievements at the Unilever Future Leaders League (UFLL) held on 25-29 November 2019 at Graha Unilever BSD and Unilever Learning Center Mega Mendung, Bandung. Nadya won two categories, namely National Group Winner and Individual Winner.
“During those 5 days, we were provided with a lot of material that was delivered by Unilever Indonesia officials directly, ranging from procurement, supply chain, R&D, marketing, to consumer development. After getting knowledge, we were assigned to resolve a case, this year the case was about Buavita. We were divided into 11 teams to resolve this case and present it to the jury. From the 11 teams, 5 teams were selected to proceed to the final round. Then finally 3 winning teams were chosen, “Nadya said.
UFLL is a business case competition held by Unilever every year. This year UFLL took the Buavita brand to become a case product.
“We have to make an innovation, both in product and campaign, so that Buavita can become a daily consumption for millennial women who have just entered the career world and are around 22-28 years old. My team provides a solution that is actually very simple but can be applied in the real world, namely by adding fiber in Buavita content. Then we also made a marketing campaign and pricing strategy, “Nadya said.
The winners themselves are divided into two categories, group winners and individual winners. Group winner8 selected 3 winning teams from the teams that qualified for the final round based on ideas and innovations brought, while for individual winners, 3 winners from a total of 34 individuals were selected to continue the competition to the UFLL Global Round in London in 2020. So the group was not Winning can be an individual winner.
“When I first submitted the selection video, there were around 2,500 students participating from all over Indonesia (on Instagram @ us.unilever), then 34 people were selected from there,” Nadya added.
“Maybe you could say, 5 days was the most worth it for me this year. Indeed there was a lot of pressure because we had to resolve the case in a very short time. But apart from that, I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to get to know 33 other great individuals and build relationships that are “very successful” ties of friendship. Unilever also provides excellent facilities, ranging from very insightful speakers, great accommodations, and very good food, “
“After joining this UFLL competition, I gained a lot of knowledge about the business world and hope that I can apply it in the future,” concluded Nadya.
