Who Said SMEs Cannot Reach International Markets?

Depok – UKM Center FEB UI held UKM Surgery to explain to MSMEs in Indonesia how to make MSME businesses reach the international market. This activity was attended by Adez Aulia (CMO & Founder of PowerCommerce), Budi Ihramsyah (General Manager of Andalin) and Ferry K. Bastian (VP Funding of Investree) as a speaker that took place at the Student Center Hall on Wednesday (02/27/2020 ).
This activity began with the participants singing the compulsory song “Indonesia Raya” and continued with remarks and explanations about new programs from UKM FEB UI Center delivered by Muhammad Miqdad Robbani, Advocacy Manager of UKM FEB UI Center.
In the Talkshow session, Adez Aulia opened the material about PowerCommerce, she also explained the mistakes that were often made by MSMEs so that they did not pass curation. According to Adez Aulia, the key to passing curation is Be Creative. “If you want to export, you can certainly help. But I’m really sorry if the goods aren’t good enough, we can’t help. ” He said
Furthermore, further explanation regarding exports, general export procedures, what documents are needed for export needs and so on are explained by Budi Ihramsyah. According to him, exports are sales activities between one company and other companies in different countries. Exports cannot be done alone, but there must be service providers such as Freight Forwarder or Courier. The benefits of exports are: Reaching a wider market, making a large social impact and improving company standards.
Finally from this Talkshow session, Ferry K. Bastian provided material on Peer-to-Peer Lending Digital and Export UMKM Environment. Investree is a financial technology company that is engaged in peer to peer lending. Investree entered into a loan system with sources from many people. So, Investree helps bring together people who want to apply for loans with people who are willing to provide loans through its peer-to-peer lending platform. Investree also provides Sharia-based loans.
