Initial Steps for ABEST21 Re-Accreditation for MM FEB UI

DEPOK – (22/9/2021) In starting the re-accreditation process of the Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21) for the Master of Management (MM) FEB UI study program, the ABEST21 team held an Online Peer Review Visit, on Wednesday (22/22/2020). 9).
Since April 2018, MM FEB UI has been accredited ABEST21. The international accreditation is valid for 5 years and ends in March 2023. Therefore, MM FEB UI will undergo a re-accreditation process to maintain the accreditation validity period.
Head of the MM FEB UI Study Program Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim said, “The re-accreditation process for MM FEB UI will take about one to two years. During preparation, MM FEB UI has formed a team to compile a report according to the format determined by ABEST21.”
According to Rofikoh, re-accreditation is very important in ensuring the quality of study programs externally, both in academic and non-academic fields, to protect the interests of students and society.
Thus, the quality assurance process will continue to be sustainable to ensure that the MM FEB UI study program has equality in quality standards at national and international levels.
He explained that, “In the first stage, MM FEB UI made The Quality Improvement Strategies (QIS) consisting of The School’s Educational System; Quality Improvement for the Past Three Years; Educational and Research Environment Analysis; and The School’s Strategies.”
“Then, a team of reviewers of academics from 3 different universities conduct a review and visitation stage. If that is passed, MM FEB UI must prepare a Self Check Report (SCR) based on 26 standards and 142 criteria at a later stage. Then, the report will be discussed and announced at the annual board meeting.” he added.
After the Online Peer Review Visit, MM FEB UI received a good response on the agenda for the next 5 years. The reviewer team also appreciated the Globalizing the Program strategy with plans to increase the participation of international faculty members and the research diaspora in teaching and research activities at MM FEB UI.
The strategy includes collaboration between MM FEB UI and Coventry University in organizing the MM Aviation program. In addition, MM FEB UI is also exploring several other well-known schools to collaborate in organizing joint specializations.
Global Network Week
In his vision, MM FEB UI wants to create graduates who will become leaders with a global mindset. In its implementation, MM FEB UI provides a touch of international exposure in every aspect of its activities. Since 2014, MM FEB UI has joined the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) initiated by the Yale School of Management.
While implementing the activities on the GNAM network, MM FEB UI routinely carries out Global Network Week (GN Week) activities every March and October. Participants in this activity are students from several universities that are members of the GNAM network. Until 2021, it was recorded that MM FEB UI had carried out GN Week activities for 12 times.
Center for Education and Learning in Economics and Business
Still in the context of continuous improvement, FEB UI has just launched a real innovation, the CELEB (Center for Education and Learning in Economics and Business) to optimize the quality of learning and learning at FEB UI.
Some of the tasks carried out by CELEB FEB UI include developing and managing compulsory faculty courses, developing MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), as well as developing and updating course learning designs, including learning management systems, pedagogy, methods, and learning evaluations.
