DEPOK – Industry 4.0 refers to increasing automation, machine to machine, human to machine communication, artificial intelligence, and sustainable technology development. The combination of technology and human resources requires workers to be able to analyze data. Data processing speed and adaptability are part of the application of Industry 4.0. This was facilitated through the introduction of Industry 4.0 through the socialization of the Microsoft Certified Program organized by the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (11/20/2019).
Untag Pranata Nusa Amibia, Managing Director Unzypsoft, said that this activity aimed to introduce industry 4.0 through a program from Microsoft. “So the goal is we are ready to face industry 4.0, which is where we are a bit behind now. What is industry 4.0? Is it only about data? We have the name Microsoft Certified program. Examples of such programs are Data Science, Data Engineering, and that we just saw was Artificial Intelligence.”
The program participants were lecturers from the Department of Management, Untag explained the reason. “We try to socialize it to the teacher (lecturer) first, from the teacher maybe later they can share it with the students (students). But that’s why we start from the teacher, then from to the student,” he said.
This program can increase academic competence. “In the future, the industry, from the professional side, will see having the certificate. So do they also know about data, what software is used, so actually the certification is important to give the image of the profession itself,” he said.
Untag added that the implementation of this certification also cooperates with international educational institutions, “The certification they collaborated with Pearson, he provided the test service as well so everything is online. It can be tested at home or maybe at the test center, for example in Kuningan, Central Jakarta.” (Des)
