JAKARTA – The transition process of the Jokowi administration in the second period was marked by reconciliation and compromise between the political elites who then contested elections, both in the cabinet and in the legislative body.
Please note, the 100-day performance evaluation of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf government which is in the public spotlight is the Field of Law and Security (Politics, Law, Security). Among other things, the Political Field that the President & Parliament has pushed various draft laws aimed at increasing investment and job creation.
Then, in the Legal Sector, KPK Volume 5 has officially worked in full with the KPK Supervisory Board, but the process of eradicating corruption is considered by many parties to be said to be hampered by a number of things, especially related to the KPK Law which had been revised by the previous DPR.
Furthermore, the Security Sector with Indonesian sovereignty was tested by China by deliberately sending its ships to search for fish in the waters of Natuna, Riau Islands. So, how big is the role of the community in measuring optimism about progress in the Field of Law and Security in the Jokowi-Ma’ruf government.
Meanwhile, the performance evaluation was also reviewed from the Economy-Investment Sector that there was a connection with the Omnimbus Law that distinguishes between flows and realization. Because to achieve the realization must be a long-term commitment in terms of investment. Many factors are considered by investors when they want to invest their capital, namely the law, economic prospects, labor / regulation laws, and business climate.
“In my view, what this nation wants to achieve is about providing a perception that habitats / conditions have changed both nationally and internationally. This kind of signals that we are doing something quickly. For that reason, based on data that the government has to create a lot of industries / companies, so as to create job opportunities,” said Ari Kuncoro as the Chancellor of the UI in the Prime Talk program on Metro TV ‘Performance Evaluation of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Government’ 100 Day Performance, Tuesday (28/1/2020).
On the other hand, the process of relocating Indonesia’s new capital must look at the urban hierarchy to make it viable and sustainable if it is surrounded by a smaller urban system, especially in the supply of food, labor, and universities. In addition, it must also attract other agglomerations such as industry or trade.
“Later, it will be useful, because if you see the flow of shipping not only through the South China Sea but also through the Makassar Strait. Thus, the potential of the two edges of the strait occurs new dynamics. That is called success in the selection of a new capital city with a variety of new activities,” he concluded. (Des)
