Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati Receives the Leadership and Service Award from the Institute of International FinanceĀ

DEPOK ā (12/10/2021) Ministry of Finance ā Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, received the Distinguished Leadership and Service Award from the Institute of International Finance (IIF). This award was presented at the annual meeting of IIF members in Washington D.C. which was held on Monday (11/10).
“This is a prestigious award from the global association of the financial industry, which has more than 400 members from 70 countries, including Indonesia.” said Head of the Communications and Information Services Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, Rahayu Puspasari, on Tuesday (12/10).
IIF provides awards in recognition of individuals who have made outstandingly consistent contributions to the health of the global economy and financial system through their leadership. This award shows the hard work done by the Minister of Finance as a leader and as a public figure who has contributed to saving not only the domestic economic stability, but also the world.
“This award is the pride of the Ministry of Finance as an institution under her leadership.” Puspa said.
In addition to receiving the award, at the IIF annual meeting, the Minister of Finance was also asked to be a panelist at the Asian Policy Maker session with the theme āSustainable Economic Growth and Financial Stability in Challenges of Inequality, Decarbonization, Digitalization, and Public Debt.
The Minister of Finance discussed various strategic policies that have been carried out by Indonesia since the pandemic, including policies to handle the pandemic, tax reforms, including the introduction of a carbon tax and the role of the private sector in controlling climate change, as well as the Indonesian G20 Presidency which will soon be handed over from Italy at the end of October 2021.
