The Indonesian Institute of Chartered Accountants (IAI) celebrated its 62nd birthday by organizing a series of events culminating in the holding of the IAI International Seminar with the theme, “Excellent Professional Accountants, Advanced Indonesia: Supporting Human Resource Development and Economic Transformation Towards Golden Indonesia 2045 “

This national seminar can realize the joint commitment of accountants to continuously improve their professional quality and be more adaptive to the rapid development of technology.

The national seminar program IAI 62nd Anniversary was held on Thursday-Friday, 5-6 December 2019 at the Main Building TVRI Senayan, South Jakarta. On the panel session one discusses Economic Transformation through Economic Democratization. With the development of digital technology today, the retail industry and the financial industry are facing challenges as well as opportunities for growth. Start-up companies in the fields of e-commerce, marketplace, financial technology are expected to increasingly color and play a role in the national, regional and global economy.

With a composition of speakers from FEB UI accounting lecturers and FEB UI alumni, including Isnaeni Achdiat and Andri Asmoro who are also Chief Economists of Bank Mandiri. This session will discuss about how Indonesia must continue to be transformed to encourage economic growth.

On the second day the next panel session discussed the Transformation of Sharia Economy in Answering the Dynamics of the Global Economy. This session discussed the infrastructure of the Shariah economy on the dynamics of the global economy.
The industrial revolution 4.0 has brought significant changes to the entire global economic system. The development of cloud-based information technology and analytic data that is well implemented will provide opportunities for economic development including Islamic economics.

Islamic economics with all its infrastructure and instruments must be able to take chances in the development of this technology. The sharia economy is expected to transform to be able to answer the dynamics of the global economy. (Dec)
