PPIM FEB UI Holds Company Visit to BRI to Learn Banking Innovation 4.0

JAKARTA – In the context of learning about the Market and Monetary Environment courses, students with the specialty of Morning Finance PPIM FEB UI conduct a Company Visit to PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Which took place at BRI Building 1, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman on Monday (2/17/2020).
The visit was guided by Rofikoh Rokhim as a lecturer and Chair of the MM FEB UI Study Program. This activity begins by looking at the Digital Learning Center room. In this room students received a speech and an explanation of the presentation on the topic “Radical Innovation in Banking 4.0 and Industry 4.0” delivered by Kaspar Situmorang as Executive Vice President of the Digital Center of Excellence.
On this occasion, Kaspar Situmorang explained the innovative products made by BRI in facing the industrial era 4.0. The innovation is needed to respond to competition as the rapid growth of financial technology (fintech).
“BRI also still sees opportunities from digital developments in Indonesia which are developing very fast compared to other countries in the world,” he concluded.
Followed by a presentation on PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk., With the topic ‘The Fun of Joining BRI Bank’ which was presented by Wahid Wijaya as BRI Corporate Culture Head.
Wahid Wijaya said that work culture and innovation intended for employees who excel will be sent abroad for a trip. In addition, some were given lectures abroad.
“One form of innovation competition for employees is BRI Got Talent and is also given the opportunity for short courses at MIT and Harvard to improve capabilities in innovation and digital,” he said.
At the presentation, students also received a visit from Haru Koesmahargyo who is the Finance Director of PT. BRI Bank (Persero). Tbk. He is also currently undergoing a doctoral program at PPIM FEB UI with a specialty in Strategic Management.
After listening to the presentation the students were invited to tour the BRI environment. And directed to the BRILiaN room located on the 9th floor of the BRI parking building which is used for employees as a means of discussion, sports, and entertainment. In the BRILiaN room there is an auditorium, restaurant, gym, thinking room (space for discussion, music, lunch and television). The event was closed with a group photo and handing over placards and souvenirs from FEB UI to the speakers. (Des)
