Depok – The Special International Class at the Faculty of Economics and Business UI (KKI FEB UI) took part in UI’s International Class’s virtual Open House event organized by UI’s Public Relations Office on Saturday (20/06/2020).
UI’s International Class’s Open House (OH KKI UI) is an annual event held to provide information on the path to enrolment, the faculties and the Special International Class at Universitas Indonesia. In view of the pandemic situation, the event was held virtually and was hosted by Rini Febriani of UI’s Public Relations Office.
Isfandiary Djafaar, S.E., M.Soc.Sc., the head of KKI FEB UI, explained in a sharing session about UI’s education program held in collaboration with overseas universities. There are two collaborative programs, namely single degree (from UI) and double degree, which entails two years of  study at UI and another two years at a partner university. The double degree program lasts for four semesters at UI (72 credit units) and four semesters at a partner university, or five semesters (equivalent to 78 credit units) at UI and three semesters at a partner university. The program offers the following degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (from FEB UI) and Bachelor of Commerce/Economics/Finance/Business Management/Science from partner universities. Â
KKI FEB UI has several partners for the double degree program, including the University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, University of Queensland, University of Adelaide, and a newcomer, The Australian National University (Australia); Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand); University of Amsterdam, Tilburg University, University of Groningen (the Netherlands); and University of Birmingham (United Kingdom).
The single degree program entails one semester (the 6th semester) of study abroad, with three areas of specialization: Financial Economics, International Business Management, and Accounting. The program offers a bachelor’s degree in economics from UI.
FEB UI’s Double Degree Program – Fast Track Undergraduate-Graduate Programs:
- – 8 semesters (144 credit units), a maximum of 10 semesters
- – Based entirely on achievements and quota
- – Number of credit units for undergraduate program depends on number of credit units for graduate program (36/38/40 credit units)
- – Apply to all master’s degree programs, except the Executive Master’s Degree Program in Management and Non-regular Postgraduate Program in Management. The degrees offered are: Bachelor’s Degree (Economics) Master’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Management/Master’s Degree in Economics/ Master’s Degree in Population and Labor Economics/Master’s Degree in Accounting/ Master’s Degree in Management Science/Master’s Degree in Economics/Master’s Degree in Accounting Science)
KKI offers special benefits for students as they can broaden their knowledge and experience in several foreign countries, expand their networks, and find overseas employment opportunites upon graduation. Most of the lecturers are Indonesian who teach in English.
The admission tests are conducted online and can be taken anywhere. More information will be available shortly before test day through the penerimaan.ui.ac.id account. Selection of a partner university is based on the study program chosen.
The open house event was expected to provide information to prospective students and give them an opportunity to learn more about the study programs at Universitas Indonesia and to prepare themselves for higher education.
