Depok – (13-11-2020) The Postgraduate Program in Accounting – Accounting Profession Education (MAKSI-PPAk.) Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, held a Public Lecture webinar, with the topic “Adapting Through Innovation”. This event presented Neneng Goenadi, Country Managing Director, Grab Indonesia as the resource person, moderated by Edgar Ekaputra, SE, MM, Lecturer at FEB UI and Independent Commissioner of PT. Bahana ICW Investment, on Friday (13/11/2020,).

Head of the FEB UI Accounting Department as well as Acting Head of the MAKSI-PPAk Study Program., Dr. Ancella A. Hermawan opened the public lecture. She expressed her appreciation to the speaker because this event could provide inspiration and benefits for students to prepare their final project by understanding the current situation from the resource persons’ presentation.

Neneng Goenadi explained how Grab continues to innovate and collaborate with several open ecosystems to form the largest digital ecosystem serving in Indonesia. Grab started its business and increased substantially with regional food and delivery services that have operated in 263 cities. Grab services include transportation, food delivery, financial services and more.

According to Neneng, there are 3 things related to leadership in this digital era. First, KNOWLEDGE, update yourself every day by continuously monitoring industrial news around the world and keep challenging yourself by expanding the network, and keep networking. Second, INNOVATION BASED ON DATA, competing with a focus on innovation, offering innovative and relevant products and services, turning innovation into culture in the daily operations of the company. Third, EXECUTE EXECUTE EXECUTE, by being smart and agile when planning something, and having a data-based culture that helps effective decision making.

Neneng stated that leaders in the digital era must have Purpose, Collaboration, and Agility. “Innovation starts with a simple one but has to be focused,” quoted Neneng.

Neneng gave a message, “Personal Branding and resilience are important. You need to challenge things in this era, nothing is impossible anymore. Everything is possible with technology. It’s actually amazingā€ concluded Neneng. (hjtp)
