The first award was won by the Slagen Team consisting of Anastasia Yolanda, Deanna Peramesty Wijaya, and Nabhan Ibrahim Ahmad, who won second place. This team was able to get the champion because it discussed the decision of PT Pupuk Kaltim to reduce gas emissions to support the government’s target of achieving net zero emission using carbon capture storage, with the title “Step Forward of PT PKT Doing Related Diversification Strategy in CCS to Achieve Net Zero Emission by 2030”. The paper explains that from the external side, Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) needs to be balanced with the government’s optimization of the constitution and implementation of the use of clean energy in society reliably and sustainably to achieve equal distribution of lifestyles and gaps where the construction of CCS will achieve the success of the 3 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On the inner side, in business feasibility, CCS has an NPV value of IDR 13.088T, IRR of 43.82%, and a payback period in 2 years and one month. Data obtained from ditjenppi.menlhk.go.id, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, climateactiontracker.org, The World Research Institute data, and PT PKT internal company data.

According to one of the Slagen Team representatives, Nabhan said “The next step for our team after receiving this award is as a form of appreciation and evaluation. We are further for the competition that will be followed next. An award is just an award, but the most important thing is how our team’s analysis and ideas can help to advance the Indonesian economy in the future. Together we help the Indonesian agricultural sector to be more advanced!.”

The second award was won by the Livicha Team consisting of Aliya Izet Adrianto, Evita Sonny, Richard William, who were crowned second place. This team won the championship because they presented a problem or business opportunity from PT Pupuk Kaltim (BUMN agribusiness).
