‘From A Small Fishpond to the Ocean’, Judicium of Master and Doctoral Degree in FEB UI Held Today

DEPOK – Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia held a procession of Graduation Semester 2019/2020 Masters and Postgraduate Levels which took place at the Soeria Atmadja Auditorium, Dean Building, on Monday (1/27/2020).
This year’s Yudisium for Masters & Postgraduate Degrees graduated 296 students consisting of Masters Degrees (MPKP, MEKK, MM, MAKSI & Profession), and Postgraduate & Masters Degrees (PPIE, PPIM, PPIA).
Pj. Dean of FEB UI, Beta Yulianita Gitaharie gave the opening remarks that today is a happy day for prospective graduates, because you ended a long process that began in 2-5 years. The Masters, Professional & Postgraduate Program is one of the pillars of educational institutions that focus on professional development and is expected to provide solutions to real problems, especially in this nation.
FEB UI continues to improve its reputation rankings in Asia and internationally by increasing collaboration, engagement, international publications indexed by Scopus for lecturers & Doctoral Programs, and the number of citations. In the future, hopefully FEB UI will get international accreditation, AACSB to be able to compete with other universities in the world. “We on behalf of the leadership of FEB UI congratulate on the title obtained, congratulations to work in any position. You are now ready to be separated from our ‘aquarium’ campus to ‘ocean’ real life with a variety of different challenges,” Beta concluded in his opening remarks.
Furthermore, remarks by the students representing the graduates of the FEB UI PPIM Study Program, Halimah Rachma said at FEB UI, we learn that every problem has a solution, and friends here definitely feel it through the learning process and make the final work with a failed process, fall, get up, get dizzy, and then stand up again. On the other hand, we certainly have experienced failure, but it is privilleged to better understand that there are threats that must be avoided.
“While at FEB UI, we get lessons about ethics, especially honesty. It all becomes provision to be able to think critically, openly, and innovatively. So, lucky all of you, because you have the opportunity to study here and successfully complete the study period. Hopefully we can all be successful, maintaining the good reputation of the UI alma mater with honesty and smart work,” said Halimah Rachma.
Finally, remarks by the Director of the Giving Back Director of the FEB UI ILUNI as well as the FEB UI Alumni of the 1990 class, Wiwit Handayani said that globalization and technological progress prevented the Indonesian economy from escaping the effects of the global economy and from disruption of the conventional economy, due to the development of the digital economy . During this time, the role of FEB UI alumni in the Indonesian economy has no doubt. Many economic figures both in government and the private sector have contributed thoughts & works and real work for this nation.
As FEB UI alumni, we have an organization called ILUNI FEB UI. With 3 main missions namely Networking & Collaboration, Giving Back & Concern, Work-Life Balance. In addition, various ILUNI FEB UI activities have been carried out, namely match makers, event gatherings (business networks & MSME training, breakfast forums, funday funds), economic & Islamic innovation (Wakavia), in collaboration with third parties, both banks and asset management with crowd funding approach).
