Depok – On Saturday (29/02), Universitas Indonesia held an annual event, UI Open Days. UI Open Days is an introduction to educational programs and entry courses at UI, this activity takes place at the University Hall of the University of Indonesia. In this activity, there was a Seminar on Motivation Seminar by Achievement Students (Mawapres) UI in 2019 who was a FEB UI 2016 Economics student, I Gede Sthitaprajna Virananda or commonly called Jana.
During the session, Jana stated several reasons why he chose to enter the UI. He explained that UI had a network with the best lecturers. Like when he was a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UI, he was often taught by the finance minister and with special staff from the ministry.
In addition, according to Jana UI, there are many student activities so that it can help students to multiply relations while studying. Geographically, UI is also in a strategic place because it is close to Jakarta.
Jana is a FEB student who enters through the SBMPTN. He explained what preparations he made before carrying out the SBMPTN. One of them is by practicing often to do various exercises using a timer then discussed together with his friends.
Not only that, Jana also gave an appeal for the high school siblings to think carefully about the major to be chosen. He believes that it would be better if the chosen majors were interconnected with his passion. However, if you still don’t know your passion, that’s okay, because if you become an important student, go to college and try various things and activities to develop yourself.
Finally, Jana revealed that managing time is also very important, so that if we are busy with non-academic activities, our assignments must also be finished on time. “I really like doing my work and it’s fast. I really tried all afternoon so that the night was free. If my work is not finished, I will not do what I like, “he explained. Said Jana.
