Field of Study FEB UI Entered the 2020 World Ranking

The Quacquarelli Symonds World University Ranking (QS WUR) by Subject in 2020 announced that four broad subject areas of the University of Indonesia (UI) successfully entered the ranks of international rankings.

The four families are Social Sciences & Management (world 203 ranking), Life Sciences & Medicine (world 451-500), Arts & Humanities (world 286) and Engineering & Technology (world 295).

In the Social Sciences & Management family, there are fields of study at FEB UI that have successfully entered the world ranking, namely Accounting & Finance (ranked 151-200 world), Economics & Econometrics (ranked 351-400 world), Social Sciences & Management (rank 203 world).

UI Chancellor Prof. Ari Kuncoro, SE, MA, Ph.D said, “UI has an advantage in organizing educational programs in various fields of science which are not limited by the barriers of the field of science. Collaboration of various kinds of science available at the UI Campus is expected to result in the development of knowledge, breakthrough inventions, and various creative innovations that benefit the people and the Indonesian people. There are 12 fields of study at UI that have made it into the world ranking – but as a unit of higher education, UI believes that each study program held is superior and has the best quality in carrying out the Higher Education Tri Dharma. Every study program organized by UI, both vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate education programs, is able to produce graduates who are globally competitive. ”

The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 covers 48 fields of science which are grouped into 5 groups of knowledge. This ranking was released by QS to help the public recognize leading universities in certain knowledge families and / or fields of study.

Ranking of universities in the world based on this field of study is determined based on an assessment of citations, productivity, research impact (h-index), and the results of a global survey conducted for graduates and academics.
