Tamba, President Director of PT. Danareksa Investment Management moderated by Dwi Nastiti Danarsari, Lecturer and Researcher of FEB UI.

Dr. Beta Yulianita Gitaharie, Acting  Dean of FEB UI in her  speech said, “This talkshow is an expanding knowledge for all of us, lecturers, students, staff and other participants. In accordance with the tagline of the 70th FEB UI Anniversary “Together, innovating, impacting” it’s  useful because it can be used by many groups, innovating because it is held online, together can attend this event. Enjoy the talk show!” Beta said.

BRI’s Consumer Director, Handayani, gave very informative material such as tips on preparing financial planning and managing assets, from lazy assets to active assets to wealth management.  Surveys show that there are still many people who have not allocated optimal returns for the future, so good financial planning is necessary. “Recognizing our financial condition, setting financial goals, managing debts, preparing emergency funds, keeping continuing savings, investing & insurance, and finding other sources of income are the first steps to start a good investment,” she explained.

Adjust the financial plan on a priority scale, by applying the 40-30-20-10 formula. This formula is 40% for daily needs, 30% for paying debts, 20% for saving & investment and 10% for social needs. To start investing, you must understand the risk profile and determine the objectives of the selected investment. There are 4 types of investment instruments, namely money markets, bonds, mutual funds and stocks.

The second resource person, Marsangap, provided insight into mutual funds as an investment solution that could be a preparation for the future in current conditions. By managing investments, financial conditions are more optimal. “Money market mutual funds can be used as a product to study money market instruments and can meet short-term needs because they have good liquidity, as well as products that can be used as a starting point for learning investment in mutual funds. PT. Danareksa Investment Management also has a product for those who are just starting to invest, namely the Seruni Money Market III Mutual Fund, the return is 5.7%, compared to the deposit rate, is equivalent to 7%, because it is achieved through the composition of instruments or bonds under 1 year and deposits. This is low from a  risk and fluctuation perspective” said Marsangap.

The event, which was attended by 182 participants, was enlivened by prizes in the form of Brizzi cards to 5 questioners, each worth Rp. 500,000, equity mutual funds by PT. Danareksa Investment Management each worth Rp. 250,000, – and the 3 best questioners got  mutual funds from PT BRI worth Rp. 1,000,000, -. At the closing of the event, the speakers and moderators received a virtual certificate from Mrs. Herda Pradsmadji, the Executive Secretary of FEB UI. (hjtp)
