DEPOK – Field of Human Resources (HR) FEB UI held Microsoft Excel Macro and Visual Basic Application (VBA) Training, Business Programming for Office Automation for educational staff in the UI, especially FEB, and took place in Laboratory B, Building A, during three days (8,11,12 / 11/2019).

This training is a form of training related to the use of spread sheets on Microsoft Excel that is used in the office world. Then, made more advanced features such as visual basic applications. In addition, this training has just been held and became the first batch that can later become a trainer among educational staff in the work unit.

General Manager of FEB UI as well as presenters in this training, Malik said that all repetitive and time-consuming work whatever the unit is in the UI environment, especially FEB such as finance, payroll, Education Bureau, Study Program, and so on can be made automatically using Macro applications and VBA on Microsoft Excel.

For example, in the Bureau of Education unit, if you want to send a file / envelope before the test with an automatic label, making it easier to name the file / envelope automatically when the exam has finished. By using VBA just press one button, then all the names in it will receive notifications.

In addition, automation is also one that is taught in this training to make their work flow, dynamic, and somewhat automated but designed / designed by themselves. “For example, I work every day like this continuously repeating work, causing human errors. Now how do I use a computer with simple coding available in the VBA or Macro Recorder menu on Microsoft Excel. Later it can minimize / eliminate errors, because we have recorded the best. Repeated work records will be edited and only the best completion steps are shown, “said Malik.

Thus, it is expected that educational staff in the UI environment especially FEB can optimize the use of Microsoft Excel in their daily work to be more productive, balance, and manage their work as efficiently as possible. So, the data that already exists in their work environment can be processed for decision making and provide a new perspective on the way they work. (Des)
