DEPOK – Faculty of Economics and Business UI received a Comparative Study Visit from FEB Tadulako University, Palu, which took place in the Prof. MR. Djokosoetono, on Monday (11/18/2019).

Deputy Dean 1 of FEB Tadulako University Palu, Sudirman expressed his gratitude and pleasure because he was greeted very enthusiastically by FEB UI regarding this comparative study visit. From this visit, we want to learn from FEB UI about how the Faculty of governance starts from matters of education, teaching, administration, quality assurance and so on. The main goal is to learn / share experiences from FEB UI and as a venue for friendship between universities in Indonesia.

Then, it was preceded by a description of the Department’s representatives who were delivered by the Chair of the Department of Economics, FEB UI. After that, 4 units (Renbang, Education, Archive, and Finance) also gave an explanation of the work routines carried out by each Unit.

The Chair of the FEB UI Department of Economics, Teguh Dartanto said that in terms of administration, UI has a University Administration Center in the Directorate Building while in FEB it has a Faculty Administration Center in the Dean Building. In undergoing administration, FEB UI has been digitally integrated, if a student falsifies for example a diploma case then it is immediately detected by the Faculty. So, given strict sanctions against students who commit acts of counterfeiting. In addition, if there are students who have passed the thesis session, but there are still unfinished courses then they must continue / complete their lectures.

Narita Dini Anggraini as the Head of Planning and Development (Renbang) of FEB UI said that the Renbang task at the Faculty functions as a planning stage to monitoring and evaluation. It starts by making an annual Faculty work plan using the Balance Score Card (BSC) and obtaining casings / derivatives from the strategic plan set by UI for 4 fields such as academic, financial, research & community service, and HR & cooperation. From there, FEB made work programs & relevant activities distributed in each Department, Study Program, and PAF Dean Unit to develop so as to achieve the desired target.

The process after all is submitted to the UI, the RKAT is first approved by the MWA. Only then are allowed to make a Budget Work Plan (RKA) as needed. It was at the time of implementation of the RKAT that the Faculty performance contract was lowered containing work programs taken from the RKAT on important points determined by the UI and had to be achieved by the Dean and the Faculties. On the other hand, UI has implemented a risk management system. At the time of implementation in the current year, a monitoring report on the results of risk mitigation was also made. In addition, the Renbang also annually reports annual performance at the beginning of the following year. This year, UI has used a new financial integration system called Oracle and the Renbang unit has developed an Integrated Information and Services System (SIANSI) to accommodate all activities both academic and non-academic.

Muhammad Hafiiz as the Education Assessor at FEB UI explained that for new FEB UI students, the Education Sector FEB UI gave 2 senior mentors in each group consisting of 10 people to guide and supervise during adaptation in the FEB UI environment. Meanwhile, students must register and active status which is the fulfillment of the obligations and rights of students every semester that must be carried out in an orderly & responsible manner such as administrative registration, academic registration, and active academic status. FEB UI also applies rules that may not be owned by faculties outside of UI, namely giving strict sanctions in the form of E values in all ongoing courses if students are caught cheating during exams.

Ansori Anas, as the Head of the FEB UI Archives Section, said that the activities of the FEB UI archive are managing records in the FEB environment in the form of digital explorers, namely dynamic and static. There are 4 instruments applied by the UI Archives Office for all Faculties, especially FEB, namely official document administration, archive classification, JRA (Archive Retention Schedule), and security classification & archive access systems. In managing records must be prioritized based on use value in the form of administration, history, finance, and legal. At present, FEB UI has digitized records to reduce paper usage.

Nina Damaiyanti as Head of the FEB UI Budget Section added that the budget preparation process at FEB UI involved all Departments, Study Programs, and work units. All elements compile / plan all activities that require funds / budget. The steps start from making the RKAT (Annual Budget and Performance Plan), hammer allocation process, and hiring budget between the Faculty Leaders and the Heads of Departments, Study Programs, and work units.
