Department of Management FEB UI Held Public Lectures from the Hajj Financial Management Board

Depok – Management Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia held a Guest Lecture in Market and financial institutions courses on “Hajj Financial Management” which took place from 08.30 West Indonesia Time to 10.30 West Indonesia Time held in the Soeria Atmadja Auditorium, Dean Building of the Faculty of Economics and Business University of Indonesia, on Wednesday (12/13/2019).

The speaker in this guest lecture was Ir. Ajar Susanto Broto, M. M. as Member of the BPKH Risk Planning and Management Agency. The event was opened by Rofikoh Rokhim, S.E., S.I.P., D.E.A., Ph.D as Chair of the Master of Management Study Program.

Ajar explained about the background and legal basis of Hajj fund management. Where is already contained in Law No. 34 of 2014 concerning Management of Hajj Funds, Perpres No. 110 of 2017 concerning the Hajj Financial Management Agency and PP No. 5 of 2018 concerning the implementation of Law No. 34 of 2014 concerning the management of Hajj finance. Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is an institution that conducts Hajj Financial Management, tasked with managing Hajj Finance which includes revenue, development, expenditure, and accountability for Hajj Finance. Hajj finances are all rights and obligations of the Government that can be valued in money related to the implementation of the hajj pilgrimage as well as all wealth in the form of money or goods that can be valued as money as a result of the implementation of these rights and obligations, both sourced from the pilgrims and other legitimate sources and not binding.

                                                               

Ajar asserted, “Hajj Financial Management is done in a Corporate and Nonprofit manner, and of course Hajj finance must be managed in Sharia Commercial Banks and / or Sharia Business Sharia Units, The principles of Hajj financial management include sharia principles, principles of prudence, benefits, non-profit, transparent and accountable. Hajj Financial Management aims to improve the quality of the Hajj Organization, the rationality and efficiency of the use of BPIH, as well as being of benefit to the benefit of Muslims “.(Des)
