DEPOK – The spread of the corona virus outbreak still seems difficult to stop. Although many patients have recovered from the virus, there are still a number of prediction scenarios of the impact of the virus that causes Covid-19 that will occur in the future. For this reason, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia, together with Dr. Ahmad Pasha Natanegara, BMedSci. from the Aditya Medical Center clinic, providing information on the prevention of corona virus in the FEB UI environment. The activity that was attended by students took place at the FEB UI Student Center, on Wednesday (5/3/2020).

According to Dr. Pasha, the corona virus is a large family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe illnesses. Treatment is symptomatic. There is no vaccine for COVID-19, but we can do prevention. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The following are steps to prevent CoVid-19 transmission, including:

– Keep the place of study / work clean and hygienic
– Wash your hands thoroughly and thoroughly
– Apply the proper ethics of sneezing and coughing
– Encourage colleagues / relatives who are sick to rest at home
– Pay attention to travel warnings (travel warnings) from the government before traveling abroad
– If COVID19 has spread in the surrounding environment, those who experience cough / mild fever must stay at home
– Try to do teleworking (mobile / remote working).

When COVID-19 begins to spread in the surrounding environment, the health authority will give an appeal regarding the use of public transportation or traveling to crowded places. Appeals to always wash hands after activities outside this room are always emphasized. Maintaining cleanliness is indeed necessary so that the body is protected from the dangers of viruses.

Pasha advised “Don’t panic, always be alert, protect yourself, don’t hesitate to seek medical help, work together and stay updated with the latest COVID-19 news. The one who needs to wear a mask is actually the one that hurts. So if there are symptoms, immediately wear a mask and consult a doctor.

FEB UI began providing hand sanitizers in every corner of the FEB UI room and providing masks when needed, and displaying community movement posters (GERMAS) about maintaining health and preventing CoVid-19 infections, as well as proper ways to wash hands. Hopefully this virus outbreak will end soon. (Hjtp)
