FEB UI Dean’s Visit to University in Australia

 

DEPOK – (24-25/5/2022) The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI) visited universities in Australia, for two days, with three meeting agendas. The first meeting (24/5), visited the University of Melbourne with an agenda to meet with Professor Paul Kofman (Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics), Professor Peter Gahan, Associate Dean (Teaching & Learning), Associate Professor Jennifer Grafton, Associate Dean (International), Professor Susan Ainsworth, Associate Dean (Research). He discussed collaborative opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research student mobility: discussion of double degree programs, discussion of Global Field Study collaborative opportunities, and discussion of collaborative research opportunities.

The second meeting (24/5) conducted a sharing session with students of the S-1 International Undergraduate Program (KKI), a Double-Degree program to hear experiences, feedback, and suggestions.

Furthermore, there is a third meeting (24/5) with Prof. Mike Ewing, PRT Chair, who is also the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University. This meeting aimed to obtain feedback from suggestions and tips to better prepare for the AACSB visitation activities at FEB UI.

Finally, the fourth meeting (25/5) was held with the CDES (Center for Development Economics and Sustainability) Team from Monash University, consisting of Prof. Asad Islam as Director, Center for Development Economics and Sustainability, and 3 team members. This meeting discussed various possibilities of collaboration between CDES and FEB UI, namely organizing short executive education courses with the target market of executives from BUMN, government agencies, or Bappenas. They are interested in learning research methods and data analysis.
