DEPOK – (13/6/2022) Productive Waqf Foundation – Indonesian Islamic Asset Management (PAII), together with Mulia Health and Dental Care (MHDC) Group, participated in the success of the productive waqf movement to help improve the welfare of the Indonesian people, one of which is through providing scholarships to selected students to continue their education. In this case, Productive Waqf Foundation – PAII and MHDC Group signed a scholarship cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI), which took place in Prof. MR. Djokosoetono, Dean Building, Monday (13/6).

Chairman of the Productive Waqf Foundation of Indonesia – PAII Afdhal Aliasar, said that the Productive Waqf Foundation – PAII and MHDC Group were established in 2018 to develop a business that developed by establishing a dental clinic and child development. Meanwhile, the concept of waqf developed, and the assets must grow and be sustainable. The proceeds from the waqf assets are then used to develop the benefits of waqf. In addition, the dentists who have joined MHDC Group and Medikids will become waqf operators and run the waqf clinic process.

According to Afdhal, due to the development of waqf benefits, we have distributed two batches of scholarships to underprivileged students that can be used for education costs and will later open batch 3. “In the future, we want to intensify the promotion and socialization of waqf that can appear in a social order of community life so that it provides long-term benefits to development programs,” said Afdhal.

Afdhal added that FEB UI has extraordinary human resources and networks to elaborate on the waqf movement. “Hopefully, the waqf movement will continue to grow and be blessed by Allah SWT. In addition, the graduates of the waqf scholarship program are expected to work as waqf ambassadors to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people,” said Afdhal at the end of his speech.

The same thing was also conveyed by the Dean of FEB UI Teguh Dartanto, Ph.D., saying, “FEB UI appreciates the Productive Waqf Foundation – PAII and MHDC Group for partnering in providing scholarships to students. Later, this cooperation will not only provide scholarships but also give students space for internships to transfer knowledge. On behalf of the leadership of FEB UI, I would like to thank the Productive Waqf Foundation – PAII and MHDC Group for providing scholarships for our students. May Allah SWT bless the Productive Waqf Foundation – PAII and MHDC Group.”
